Edward H. Gilbert, MD
Radiation Oncologist
Radiation Oncologist, Dr. Edward Gilbert, is one of the experts in using Verity’s Varian Trilogy
linear accelerator. He is one of the nation’s most experienced physicians in using the RapidArc
technology. In addition to his experience with RapidArc/IMRT, IGRT and 3D Conformal Radiotherapy,
he has a specialty in Stereotactic Radiosurgery. Dr. Gilbert is Board Certified in Therapeutic
Radiology by the American College of Radiology.
Dr. Gilbert is a Philadelphia, PA native and currently resides in Rowlett.
He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at Temple University in that city.
He was also a Radiation Therapy Fellow at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo
Alto, California. A former Captain in the United States Air Force, Dr. Gilbert
has most recently been Director of the Lance Armstrong Shaped Beam Radiosurgery
Program at the Richardson Regional Cancer Center, as well as the Director and Radiation
Oncologist at that facility, and at Medical City Dallas.
Timothy Dale Nichols, MD
Radiation Oncologist
Dr. Tim Nichols has extensive experience with external beam radiation
(IMRT, IGRT, 3D Conformal), and he specializes in Stereotactic Radiosurgery
and Partial Breast Irradiation. Dr. Nichols is Board Cerified in the field of
Radiation Oncology by the American College of Radiology.
A Dallas resident, Dr. Nichols earned his undergraduate and medical
degrees from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland.
He served his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of
Maryland Medical Center, as well as receiving a Fellowship from that
institution. He has most recently served as Radiation Oncologist at
the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, and earlier held the position of
Medical Director at the Plano Oncology Center. He is a member of the
American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American
College of Radiology, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical
Association and the Dallas County Medical Society.
Randi Fogg Aaronson, Ph.D.
Medical Physicist
Dr. Randi Aaronson plays a key role at Verity
Radiation Therapy, ensuring that the facility’s
state of the art machines are functioning properly,
and that patients receive the right radiation dosage
in the right location. Dr. Aaronson received both her
Ph.D. and M.S. in Biomedical Physics from the University
of California, Los Angeles, after graduating Magna Cum Laude
in Physics and Mathematics from Williamette University in
Salem, Oregon. She has most recently served as Medical
Physicist and RSO (Radiation Safety Officer) at the Richardson
Regional Cancer Center in Richardson, Texas.
A resident of Lewisville, Texas, Dr. Aaronson is a widely published
author as well as an active member of the American Association of
Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), and the American Society of Therapeutic
Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO). She is board Certified in Therapeutic
Radiologic Physics by the American Board of Radiology and licensed by
the State of Texas.
